Three more Indonesian mariners held hostage by Abu Sayyaf activists were discharged on Saturday evening, leaving two staying in imprisonment, Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi said on Sunday.
The three crew members discharged at 11:35 p.m. neighborhood time were Ferry Arifin, M. Mahbur Dahlan and Edi Suryono
"An uncommon group lifted them up. The three are at the Sulu Joint Task Force West Mincom, where they are experiencing wellbeing checkups, "Retno said in a question and answer session with Indonesian Military (TNI) authority Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo at the Defense Ministry in Jakarta as reported by Antara news office.
The three men will be taken to Zamboanga to be authoritatively given over to the Indonesian government, spoke to by the Indonesian Embassy in Manila, she said.
The legislature will give a report on their arrival when matters in Zamboanga are dealt with, Retno said, including that the service had likewise reached the individual groups of the mariners on the discharge.
With the arrival of the three men, group individuals from tugboat Charles that were kidnapped by the activists on June 21, two Indonesian crew members stay in the hands of Abu Sayyaf. The two men are Robin Peter and M. Nasir, who are likewise group individuals from tugboat Charles.
Points of interest of the discharge have not been made open.
Retno said the administration had ventured up endeavors to secure the arrival of the two outstanding crew members.
